Chocolate Protein Balls
easy15 min totalPrep: 15mCook: 0mServes: 10
These no-bake protein balls take 15 minutes, require no oven, and last a week in the fridge. Each ball comes in at around 130 calories with 12g of protein — making them ideal for filling the gap between meals without derailing your deficit.
Ingredients
Makes 10 balls:
- 2 scoops (60g) chocolate protein powder
- 80g rolled oats
- 3 tbsp natural peanut butter
- 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 3–4 tbsp milk (to bind)
- Pinch of salt
Method
- Combine the protein powder, oats, cocoa powder, and salt in a mixing bowl.
- Add the peanut butter and honey. Mix together — it will be crumbly at first.
- Add the milk one tablespoon at a time, mixing until the mixture comes together and holds when pressed.
- Roll into 10 equal balls.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before eating to firm up.
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 7 days.
Pro Tip
The mixture should feel like stiff cookie dough — it should hold its shape when pressed but not be sticky. If it's too dry, add more milk a teaspoon at a time. Too wet, add a tablespoon of oats.
Nutrition Notes
These are a smarter alternative to commercial protein bars, which often contain high amounts of sugar alcohols, additives, and palm oil. Homemade protein balls give you full control over the ingredients and hit a very similar macros profile.
